Described as a wrestling prodigy Chase Owens has lived up to his name in every sense of the word. Since October 7th 2011, Owens has been on a Chase to win the NWA World Junior Heavyweight Championship Belt. A belt worn proudly by the "Modern Day Hero" Kevin Douglas. Just over a year ago, it was Chase Owens in the Finals of the Tournament to crown a new champion who squaring off against Kevin Douglas. Since then Owens has been mentored by NWA Legend Ricky Morton, battled with the former Ring of Honor World Champion, traded titles with the talented Sigmon and shown his fans who tune into watch him weekly on NWA Smoky Mountain TV why he is the Real Deal. Owens has had several matches with the reigning NWA World Junior Heavyweight Champion, but has been unsuccessful in defeating him for the gold. By the decree of Chase Owens himself, One way or another, On Saturday, October 13 in Kingsport, TN the “Chase for the Gold” will conclude. Owens will either defeat World Junior Heavyweight Champion, Kevin Douglas for the title or he will never wrestle in his home area again.
