What If? You took Facebook, eHarmony, and Wikipedia, married them into one site for aspiring and professional musicians and service providers, musical organizations and programs, and musical aficionados? What If? This site developed into a Craigs List/Angies List for all things related to music? What If? You harnessed the Internet and all of its transactional mechanisms to create, not only a working musical infrastructure, but a real musical community and economic development platform where those that participate -- creating a site that fulfills their wants and needs -- held equity in its success? What If? In a cooperative arena, you wouldnt just connect, but have real purpose in your connections? You could more easily and more thoroughly manage your musical life, interests, and endeavors? You werent just treated as a product, but as part of a process and, no matter your skill or interest, were also treated as an equal? Everyone had a stake in the success of everyone else? This is what MyGigNet is about. The framework is built. The applications have been designed (though not yet programmed). The most cynical issues have been addressed. The Music Industry has pigeonholed you, conditioned you to accept things as they want it, and created a competitive environment where your dreams and aspirations mean nothing. Youre either a winner or a loser. The process has begun. It means nothing, however, without you. Any gig has only two parts: expression and connection. Its not what you do. Its how and why you do it. It starts here. Lets talk.
